Real-Time Warnings
FloodSense is an affordable multisensor early-warning system for flood-prone communities. It collects data on water levels and other parameters to provide advance warning of rising risk.
The Kazakhstani project joined the 2026 international final alongside work by school students from more than 40 countries. The final took place in Stockholm on August 25 during World Water Week; Canada's Moroti Adegboyega received the main prize for the Ecoferroquatics platform.
A Competition for Young Researchers
The Stockholm Junior Water Prize has been held since 1997 for school projects capable of addressing major water challenges. The award is presented by Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden.
