Turkistan Brand Craft Fair 2026 opened on 26 September at the Artisans Centre. The international fair has brought together around 200 makers from Kazakhstan and abroad.

Participants have brought wood, leather and metal goods, felt and textile pieces, jewellery, traditional clothing and designer fashion. The fair runs from 26 to 28 September.

Visitors can buy directly from the people who make the goods. For artisans, the fair offers an opportunity to introduce their work to buyers and potential partners, exchange experience and find new sales channels.

Finalists of the One Village, One Product project, run with the involvement of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, were also invited to take part. The fair gives rural producers a place to meet tourists and business representatives.

The organisers connect the preservation of crafts with improvements in design, packaging and promotion. Their aim is to help artisans use traditional techniques to create contemporary products that people want to buy.
