Reviving Craft: Reflection of the Mind is on view at London’s Somerset House until 27 September. The London Design Festival project opened on 16 September and explores China’s craft heritage and its reinterpretation in contemporary design.
From ceramic fragments to textiles
The exhibition includes ceramics, glass, jewellery, textiles and furniture. Participating artists include Li Xiaofeng, who works with fragments of antique ceramics, and fibre artist Shuang Xi. Curators Su Dan and Yang Lan examine craft through materials, techniques and artistic intent.
The exhibition runs from 16 to 27 September 2026 in the South Wing of the Embankment Galleries. Admission is free and no ticket is required, subject to capacity.
